James McLean, Founder of Motivated4Greater, has served in various roles during his 20+ year tenure in the Scotland County (NC) School system. He is widely recognized for his work with the Blue Blazer Accountability/Empowerment project. He has received several awards and recognitions to include the McCoy/Dunbar Quality of Life Award presented by the Scotland County/Laurinburg Chamber of Commerce. He is also a three-time Scotland Schools’ Student Support Services Employee of the Year. McLean serves as a Deacon at JOY Ministry Church in Laurinburg.

The McLeans have been married 25 years and have dedicated their lives to improving outcomes for young people and their families.

LaTonya McLean is Co-Founder of motivated4greater.. She is a lifelong learner and educator. McLean has served in numerous capacities during her 20+ year tenure in Scotland County (NC) school system to include 6th grade math teacher, District RTA Coordinator, Curriculum Facilitator, Math Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal. McLean has been acknowledged as Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, and received Scotland County NAACP educator of the Year award.
